The QuickSet Hercules QHT-3 Tripod is the Tripod many prefer in a multitude of applications. The QHT-3 is the shorter brother of the QHT-1 Hercules- same load capacity, most of the same components. The only real difference is that the legs are shorter. When in the fully collapsed position, this can be as short as 26" tall, and when fully extended- 57" tall. Compact and easy to transport! As a sturdy, but portable tripod, it is used in Optical Tooling, Military, Video, Astronomy, and many other Scientific applications. Not cheap, but built like a tank. The 2-section legs extend to more than 3 feet tall, while the rack and pinion operated central support can be extended up another 2 feet.
