The Newport 45 Damped Rod features Newport's patented damping system to reduce vibration on critical mountings, and is their premium mounting rod. It is finished in a Matte Chrome finish over steel. The flanged baseplate is drilled to be mounted on standard 1" spacing as on most breadboards and optical tables. Height is 14 inches and it is 1.500 inches in diameter. We could probably supply enough for your whole project! Using a Newport 300P platform on this gives you a mini-breadboard so you can start going 3 dimensional with your experiments. Using 4 of these with 300-P Platforms gives a very stable base for mounting another larger breadboard over your optical table. More real estate in the same footprint!
