The Newport UMR8.51 Precision Double-Row Ball Bearing Linear Stage, because of its double set of ball bearings supporting each side of the stage, can carry a high load (up to a 200 pound static load) while maintaining the ablility to move very smoothly. Made primarily of steel for stability and rigidity, this series of stages uses a pair of springs to preload the stage against the included Newport BM17.51 Micrometer actuator. The top surface of this stage is drilled and tapped with both 8-32 and 1/4-20 holes. The stage dimensions are: 4.646" long X 3.150" wide X .709" tall.
