Description

The Newport 610S Ultra-Resolution Kinematic Mirror Mount differs from the Newport 610 only by Newports choice of actuators. The Newport 610 uses micrometer actuators, and the Newport 610S uses AJS actuators. So, if you need to know whether you moved that actuator by 3 thousanths-get the 610, if not- save some money and get the 610S. This Mirror Mount uses 4 actuators to allow fine/coarse control of angular orientation. "Coarse" resolution of the actuators is 1-2 arc seconds, while the fine resolution is ultra-fine at 0.1 to 0.2 arc seconds. Because of its use of flexure pivots, this mount is also very stable.
