Description

This Gaertner Measuring Microscope is in excellent condition. Based on their Modular stage system, this is assembled and has all Gaertner parts. The heavy fine-grain cast iron base has the Y-Axis stage with a polished brass stageplate mounted on it. This stage has 2 inches of travel and with the big vernier micrometer dial, can easily readout .001. The X-Axis is mounted on the boom arm and has the microscope mounted right on it. This axis also has 2 inches of travel and shares the same size micrometer head with .001 resolution. Now to the microscope itself. It is equipped with a built-in beamsplitter which allows vertical illumination, has a Gaertner goniometric readout which has 360 degrees of movement and a vernier readout allowing at least 15 arc-minutes of resolution. This Goniometric head has a 10X Gaertner eyepiece with fine crosshairs. The bottom objective is a 60mm Gaertner.
